What to expect

Jetty Park is a wildly popular campground right on the beach in Port Canaveral — a perfect place to enjoy the sand, fish off the pier, surf some waves, and watch the cruise ships head out.

This is our biggest group trip of the year, timed around Beach Baptism weekend. Jetty Park does book out far in advance, so if you want to join us, don't wait too long to reserve your spot.

If you're tent camping, stick to a dome tent — it's highly recommended. The wind off the water gets serious out there, and a few of our group members have lost rigid, square-frame tents that couldn't flex with the gusts.

Heads up on checkout timing: Beach Baptism itself happens at Lori Wilson Park down the road, and campers/RVs are not allowed there. If you check out of Jetty Park on Sunday morning, you won't have anywhere to leave your camper during the baptism — so plan on a later checkout, or line up somewhere else to park it first.
